The South Africa Police yesterday arrested a woman who tried to sell her baby online for $380 (5,000 rand). She will be charged with Human Trafficking in court on Friday as said by The Special Crime Unit of the force.

 According to the Hawks Police Unit, The 20 years old woman was apprehended during an undercover operation with the help of an intelligence from a member of the public that a baby was being sold on the website Gumtree.

 She will be charged in the Pietermaritzburg Magistrates Court.

Mulaudzi Hangwani said " Through the course of our investigations,we have discovered that the baby was not hers and the baby is now in the care of social workers" "We are trying to find out what was her attention and also where the baby comes from" Comments from the 20-years-old could not be taken as her identity was not made public.
