Members of the famous G22 are set to join the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) at the weekend if President Goodluck Jonathan fails to meet and address their agitation today as was scheduled.

A leading member of the group who phoned in not long ago detailed that Governor Godswill Akpabio is using Dr Adamu Muasu, National Chairman of the PDP to stall today's meeting by the President stating that members of the group are miffed by such antics.

Our source hinted that "Gov Akpabio is using huge financial inducement to stop the president who is genuinely worried
about PDP fortunes in Akwa Ibom State from naming a consensus candidate for our party today". PDP guber candidates will be given party flag on Thursday in Lagos. Sources within the G22 vow to join the APC if Udom is given the party flag against their demand.

Today's proposed meeting with Jonathan which may not hold, according to our sources is the thirdwhich never held.

Udom Emmanuel, the embattled guber candidate, in an interview today denied being imposed on the party and said he was willing to work with the aggrieved G22 members.
The 22 aspirants are in Abuja now.
